Artist's Statement

My work explores imagination and its interaction with everyday objects, familiar phrases, and common imagery. I’m interested in the ways that something so simple can be shifted into something playful and unexpected. Through my drawings and paintings, I take recognizable objects and place them into more imaginative contexts, allowing them to become part of a larger narrative. This process reflects the way such small details can spark creativity when viewed from a different perspective. My work invites viewers to slow down and reconsider the world around them. I take inspiration from things like children’s books, nursery rhymes, and song lyrics, but also from ordinary things that often go unnoticed. By reimagining these common themes, I aim to reveal the beauty and curiosity that can exist within everything around us, even the mundane.
