In my design work, I always strive to create something that immediately draws your attention. Using bright colors with bold typography is my specialty and I always try to find a way to add an illustrative element to all of my designs. I often find inspiration by viewing other artists’ work and by spending time outdoors. My hero piece, Kiwi and Squeak is a childrens book written and designed by me! I combined my love for birds with my love for watercolor. You might notice that the illustrations are a lot bolder than watercolor usually is. To obtain this effect, I covered multiple pages in red, yellow, and green watercolor paint. I then scanned, cut out, and collaged everything in illustrator to obtain this bold, pieced together effect!
