She enjoys playing music, singing, digital artistry, sculpture, and going on hikes and looks forward to continuing to fuel her passions within art and music far into the future.

Artist's Statement

Before starting a project I try to dive deep into the subject, gather inspiration, and brainstorm ideas. From there I just try to do everything I can to get something, anything on the canvas to get the ball rolling and see what comes of it. I create and iterate over and over until I find something I like and even then I try to keep it in constant flux throughout a project. Maybe it is a logo that I adapt as I go on because a small change would fit into the rest of the branding better, etc. I also really enjoy incorporating illustrative elements in my pieces when possible, such as in the book cover redesign or even in the brand design project as I really enjoy digital art. My favorite of this batch of projects has to be my ux/ui wallpaper/icon/automation design personal project as it really gave me a creative outlet that ended up benefiting me and allowing me to use what I was learning to create a better experience out of my own phone. I took lots of inspiration from the design language that accompanies techwear as it is a style I quite like and I really enjoyed digging into the details while creating it. Especially on the home screen where there are just small details littered everywhere; they were fun to design and add whether it was just for the looks or if they gave additional information as to what certain gestures might do adding some functionality into the design. I believe what the body of work within my portfolio shows is that while I am not afraid to use some bold colors, I really enjoy designing with more muted colors. They are just so satisfying and easy on the eyes and I try to use them as often as I can. Of course, I still make sure to include some pops and bursts of saturation if the design needs it, but unless I have to work within a certain palette or guideline I just love designing with softer and darker tones. If you can not tell, I also like to incorporate black quite a lot. Green is another favorite that sneaks in here and there but black certainly comes out the most.
